Best Pet Gifts for 2018

Your furry friends are like family, so why not treat them to a holiday gift this year? Whether you're looking for healthy dog treats, a chic pet carrier, or a new scratching post for your cat, we've got you covered. Here are our favorite pet gifts of 2018.

The Best Holiday Pet Gifts of 2018

Gibson's Dog Treats

These all-natural treats look and smell just like bacon, and they’re grain-free, soy-free, corn-free, and sugar-free. Your dog will gobble them up quicker than you can say “wanna treat?”

Waxed Canvas Canine Tote

If you travel often with your dog or cat, it’s time to upgrade your carrier to something more chic than a sherpa-lined carrier. Give your pet plenty of room to stretch out in this breathable tote. There’s even a leash clip, so Fido or Mittens can stay securely fastened.

Cat litter that lasts for a month sounds too good to be true, right? Well, this brand stays fresh for 30 days, is free of irritating dust, and uses color-changing technology to alert you to any health issues your kitty may be hiding. It can sense everything from UTIs to kidney problems to bladder stones, which (in our opinion) is pretty impressive for cat litter. One of our editors tried it, and found that the odor elimination was frankly astounding.

Jolly Pets Romp-n-Roll Dog Toy

Hardcore chewers will LOVE this heavy-duty rubber ball with an attached rope. Play keep-away, tug, or fetch with this all-in-one dog toy. Bonus? It comes in three sizes, so you can find the perfect one for your pup.

Holiday Dog Pajamas

These pet jammies are perfect for the person whose dog needs to be in their holiday card every year (no judgement.)

Wild Meadow Farms Dog Treats

With no grains, fillers, corn, sugar, salt, soy, or animal byproducts, your dog will have good reason to beg for these treats.

DJ Cat Scratching Pad

Turn Mittens into "DJ Mittens" with this ultra-adorable cat scratching turntable. He’ll be able to sharpen his claws, stretch his muscles, and spin some sick beats (plus, he might just take a break from scratching your couch cushions.)

Lands' End Pet Tote

Carry Fido in style with this preppy pet tote bag. It comes in navy or red, and you can customize it with your pet’s moniker or a cute phrase.

Petcube Bites Wi-Fi Pet Camera & Treat Dispenser

Do you miss your pet when you’re gone? (Um, duh!) With this gadget, a smartphone, and Wi-Fi access, you can now video chat your fur baby in real time, and shoot treats their way. Two-way audio means you can tell them that you miss them, and hear their response in return. This is a must-have for anxious or bored pets, or for people who travel a lot.

Custom Pet Nose Print Necklace

This necklace is the ultimate gift for the crazy dog or cat mom in your life. An artist mails you an easy-to-use molding kit where you take an imprint your pet’s snout or paw (don’t worry, it’s non-toxic!) Then, in a few weeks, she sends you back your one-of-a-kind silver necklace with your pet’s name engraved on the back, so you can wear your pet close to your heart.

Bark Shop Dumpling Dog Toy

You may think these little dumplings are too cute to eat, but we're betting your pup will disagree! We also love the plush bucket of fried chicken, which is just as adorable as it sounds.

Bolt Interactive Laser Cat Toy

Love exercising your cats, but hate having to chase after them with a tiny laser? This battery-powered one does all the work for you, and stands on its own. It’s sturdy enough so your mischievous cat can’t tip it over, and has a manual function with different light patterns in case you want to get in on kitty playtime.

Hable Pet Stocking

Fido deserves part of the present-opening action, too! Stuff it with their favorite treats for a sweet holiday surprise (we stuffed ours with Newman's Own Peanut Butter Treats).

Farmer's Dog Food Subscription

Farmer’s Dog is a subscription-based dog food that’s customized to your pet’s needs (have an anxious dog that’s allergic to turkey? They’ve got you covered.) It’s delivered to your house every month, and is made with real, natural ingredients to keep your pup healthy and happy.

Redbarn Protein Puffs

These cheesy puffs are made with caseinate, a protein commonly used in health supplements, protein bars and snacks. These puffs come in three tasty flavors for dogs and three tasty, sugar-free flavors for cats! Best part? There are no weird ingredients, artificial flavors, preservatives, or artificial coloring. So you can feel good about letting your furry pal go to town.

Cup of Cheer Dog Toy

Is this hot toddy toy adorable? Absolutely. But your pup will love it for the spiky ball inside, and the crinkly noises it makes when it moves.

Casper Dog Bed

Made by the same team as the one behind Casper mattresses, this bed is perfect for lazy canines. It's got nearly 1,400 5-star reviews—probably because the bed is dig-proof, shred-proof, and bolstered with super-comfy foam. Oh, and Casper has a generous 100-day return policy in case your pup doesn't absolutely love their new bed.

COVID-19 has made traveling difficult, if not altogether impossible. Whether the person you’re purchasing a gift for is among the few who are still traveling by air—now out of necessity rather than for leisure—or they’ve decided to get closer to nature to avoid cabin fever, they’ve likely had to alter their travel plans to better practice social distancing in accordance with health guidelines.

With that in mind, those who travel may benefit from gifts that maximize safety and comfort. Whether the person is a frequent flier or a camping enthusiast, finding the most useful gifts for a traveler or someone who misses traveling can help them in many ways—from a power bank that keeps their phones and cameras fully-charged or a personalized suitcase that they'll never lose. To help you shop for your travel-lovers, here at Reviewed, we've rounded up the best gifts for travelers of 2020.

Anker Soundcore Wakey

Best clock radio

What's also appealing about this Christmas git idea is that there's a companion app (yes, it's also a Bluetooth speaker) that allows you to program in your preset FM radio station favorites and dim the LED clock to your liking.

Currently, the black version is less expensive ($74) while the white version costs $89.

Best Holiday Cheese Ball Recipes

Everyone has their holiday traditions, and at my house, a cheese ball is a must serve menu item at Thanksgiving and Christmas time. It just wouldn’t be the holidays without one!

And with this collection of delicious cheese balls, I’m not sure how I’ll choose which one to make. Perhaps this year I’ll make two–both a savory and a sweet option. Of course, our tradition has always been the Green Onion Cheese Ball, featured here. I’m not sure I could skip that one.

You’ll find cheese balls loaded with bacon, nuts, cranberries and herbs, and even cheese balls covered in pomegranate seeds. Talk about a beautiful appetizer for your holiday feast

The dessert cheese balls are always a favorite with kids, who aren’t usually fans of more traditional cream cheese spreads. And mini cheese balls are always a fun option, and great for parties too.

If you don’t have a holiday cheese ball tradition at your house, I highly recommend starting one. And this recipe collection is a great place to start. Enjoy!
